Weight Loss Made Easy . . . and Tasty!

Herbalife makes weight loss easy to accomplish and enjoyable with their great shakes.  Many people are unaware of how their protein intake can affect their weight loss program - if protein levels are too low, the body goes into 'starvation mode' and weight loss slows down or stops completely.  However, having adequate protein levels in the diet will persuade the body to allow the shedding of excess pounds.  Herbalife's Formula 1 shakes are packed with protein and full of flavour. 


The mixes come in four different flavours: vanilla, chocolate, berry, and coffee.  The shakes can be made by simply adding the Formula 1 mix and the Personalized Protein Powder to milk (or soy milk), but the shakes' true versatility comes through when one takes a little extra time to 'dress it up'.  Here's my favourite recipe:


1/4 cup yogurt, plain or flavoured
1 1/2 cups vanilla soy milk
3 tbsp Personalized Protein Powder (according to my weight loss plan
2 scoops vanilla Formula 1 shake mix
1 cup frozen wild blueberries
Mix all together in blender on high until smooth.


This is definitely my personal favourite, as yogurt is very healthy for the digestive system, and blueberries are loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants.  The flavour combinations are limited only by one's imagination!  On the other hand, some people may not like smoothies, so it is important to remember that the shakes can be mixed with just milk.  I have tried several 'diet shakes', and I must say that the Formula 1 is the best-tasting shake I have ever tried, just by itself, but turning it into a smoothie definitely makes life more interesting.


On a parting note, one may question the effectiveness of the Herbalife weight loss program.  I can say that in the week and a half that I've been keeping track, I've already lost seven pounds.  It's been very easy, and I haven't been hungry between meals.  This is definitely the best thing that's ever happened to me.
